Situated over the Black Jack Hill from Kūaotunu, Ōpito Bay is a small, coastal community in one of the most pristine environments on the Coromandel Peninsula. Renowned for its iconic Kiwi lifestyle and unspoilt setting, it offers residents, holiday home owners and visitors a unique opportunity to get away from it all.

Ōpito has a long history of settlement, with the magnificent Pā site on the eastern Peninsula a highlight, and numerous other sites of historical and archeological interest.

There is a strong sense of community, with many homeowners boasting a lifetime connection with the Bay, and many families with second, third and even fourth generations enjoying all that Ōpito has to offer.
